How do different generations of veterans think about the ANZAC Spirit?

A game that recognises the ANZAC Spirit characteristics of courage and mateship is back for 2022, with the Gold Coast SUNS and Brisbane Lions doing battle on Sunday 24 April at Metricon Stadium.

The first rays of light on the 25th of April will be seen by RSL NSW sub-Branch Norfolk Island – a small community with a proud history of service.

Who doesn’t love a tasty ANZAC biscuit? While there is ongoing debate about whether ANZAC biscuits should be chewy or crunchy, one thing most people can agree on is that they are delicious!

The ANZAC spirit lives within us all. On 25 April this year, we’re encouraging all Australians to commemorate ANZAC Day a way that is meaningful to you.

Cooking – or in this instance baking up a delicious storm – with friends or family, can create powerful bonds, make you feel good about yourself and boost your self-esteem. And with plenty of laughs along the way, it can also help give light to our hardest moments.

As we commemorate a day that defined our nation, and as we collectively face new and unprecedented challenges – in our own backyards and globally, this year’s ANZAC Day is a poignant moment for us all to tap into a sense of community and togetherness.

Mateship is at the heart of the Aussie way of life, with many of our local communities coming together in good and bad times, adapting to challenges that come our way, and giving everyone a ‘fair go’.
